Did You Know...Several of the members of RVFD are Oklahoma State Certified Emergency Medical Responders (or EMR's) and 1st Responders. This means we have completed at least 54 hours of classes to be an EMR or 1st Responder and most have around 70 hours completed through courses brought to our station by OSU. We are striving daily to continue our education for Emergency Safety to help in saving lives. Don't be afraid to call..That's what we are trained for!
Hazmat Training is a very important part of Emergency Safety. This training gives us the knowledge to know what precautions to take, not only to keep the public safe but also our firefighters and Medical Responders. We schedule several days throughout the year for fire training. This not only includes how to put out fires but also training on the Jaws of Life and also Air Evac. |
